i just got most of the parts to m new gaming pc (http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/QN9qVn) im still missing the case and gpu, but i was thinking of building it and leaving on the mobo box until my case shows up, just wondering if its unsafe or stupid to do, im kinda excited to see it boot, so im hoping its a good idea

That's good. Its usually a good practice to build a new pc on the box so if it doesn't boot you don't have to rip out all the components out of the case and I ran mine on a box for a few days too
