Tripod recommendations

Hi all,

Recently got into video making and photography, I am very amateur, and I am looking for a reasonably good tripod for my Panasonic Lumix G6.

Will mainly be used for video work but some photography too (not sure if I would need different head attachments) and looking at about £100 budget.

I'm from the UK if you need to know that.

Cheers

Looks like a good tripod, thanks man :)

Its about the best you can get without spending more, if you had a bit more money I would say get the manfrotto mvh502 video head, and some decent legs

Thanks for the help man, means a lot.

Will the manfrotto head fit on the majority of legs or does it need to be manfrotto legs too?

should fit on anything, they have a standard thread, I have my manfrotto head fitted to my cheap koolertron slider for example

Yeah a lot of my friends use the pro and highly recommend it. I heard the slider is okay for beginners and at decent price, hence why I was considering it.

I can see this hobby costing me so much, I just keep going deeper and deeper with lighting and lenses, my bank balance isn't going to like it haha.

carbon fibre legs are are much a pro as they are a con, they are light, long lasting and strong, but they are nowhere near as stable as heavier tripods

depends what you are putting on top, if you are putting heavy gear on top, then you probably want a heavier tripod, if you are putting just a basic camera and mic on top, then definately worth it

Tripods are dick to carry

So many choices, if only I won the lottery, would make things so much easier.

Thanks a lot for all the advice man.
