Facebook chat question.

So there is this person, they only use facebook on their phone.

Usually it shows them online as mobile and sometimes it shows a number next to their name with the amount of minutes they were last logged in from. But sometimes, it completely removes them from my chat bar. What does that mean?

Did they disable chat? Log out? Block me?

Thanks, thought I'd ask here first.

That happens with me too with my girlfriends fb. Not sure why I think its just FBs website being horribly made. Does it only happen on the desktop version? That's the only time I get the problem.
