Games minimize randomly

Hello guys,

 

I have this weird problem that games will minimize randomly, this happens with all the games that i have.

I checked for viruses, malware etc. But it couldn't find anything.

There are no programs running in the background except AVG, Asus AISuite, and  Xonar DX Audio Center.

But I hardly think this caused it because i'm running this setup for over a year now and there were no problems since this issue

 

System specs:

 

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

CPU: i7 3770K @ 4,5 Ghz with corsair H100 

Mainboard: Asus Z77 Sabertooth

GPU: XFX HD7870 Crossfire

RAM: Kingston 8GB 1866mhz 

Soundcard: Asus Xonar DX

PSU: Corsair AX850

 

Note: overclock is stable for over a year now, so that shouldn't cause it

I've got the same problem actually, it hasn't annoyed me enough to do anything about it though... hopefully someone knows how to fix it.

May be caused by your AVG.

 

Try disabling it.

 

If you write down the time that your game minimizes, open up event viewer and go through a few sub categories you might come across an error or something that happened right at that moment causing your game to minimize.

I've had the same problem. Havn't seen it in a few days though.

I'm using avast, gtx 680 with the 320.18 driver.

Thanks for the replies, but unfortunately the problem doesn't show up in event viewer, so i'm still stuck...

Close as many background processes as possible and see if that solves the problem. If it does, gradually bring back in the background programs such as AVG until it happens again.

Seriously, people still use AVG? There are better programs out there that don't hog system memory. Panda Cloud for example.

I fixed the issue,

 

it was caused by dsmonitor.exe (uniblue Driverscanner) which was running in the background, though you could not see it in the  "background program thingy" i had too look for it

in task manager. Thanks for all the replies.
