I have an asus  7870.

I wonder if I do an overclock to the "maximum that most people can get from this card", how much lifetime I will be taking from her?

No one can tell you the life span of a computer part. All parts are going to fail sooner or later.  Once again no one can tell you this. We can only guess. I have an old 4850 and its overclocked pretty high and its starting to choke out on me. But i would guess your taking a year or two off your card if it gets real hot all the time.

I know it's impossible to say exactly how long, I wanted to know an idea. So.. about 1 or 2 years. So we can assume .. instead of lasting 5/6 years, will lasts 3 or 4?
