Well no one knows unfortunately when AMD releases the R9 390X, it could be also possible that they introduce first a R9 380X. I always recommend to buy hardware as needed. Sure you can wait but it only makes sense if you want ot wait specifically on a certain hardware or if you are good enough with what you´ve got and it´s worth to wait.

When a new line is most likely going to be released soon its good to wait. For example the guys that bought 780s before the 290 released must have been kicking themselves.
