Hey guys im planning on upgrading my pc .. my current pc specs are i74770 evga gtx sc 980 and my psu is the ax860 .. so i started looking around for an upgrade and i came up with this http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/BGzKMp                               .. is it possible to get an x99 build for the same price or around since i wouldnt be needing a new psu and gpu also i will be using this for editing video rendering and also gaming btw im in canada so price would 1500 cad .. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

There's a x99 build but... Wow.

I don't really think a x99 is needed as I can only seem to find the ones that use ddr4 ram exclusively which I've never dealt with so you'd have to do some serious research into the x99 boards and If you need one.

I also went for 2 1TB drive for RAID so your work is safe.

Also I went for the H440 as it just looks... Awsome

You went uber overkill with the motherboard, the motherboard doesn't impact performance

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      yea i know i just wanted better audio with out buying a sound card wanted wifi since i dont currently have access to and ethernet cable.. also i like the rog look lol

Pick up a ~$15 wireless adapter card and that'll do the trick fine so long as you don't have download rates over 300mbps in which case you can buy a more expensive one.

Wait, what?  I am sorry.  But the 4770K upgraded to a 4790K?  The 4770K is one of the fastest CPUs on the current retail market.  At best you are getting a 2-3% boost for a mere $325 =/.  I mean, it is your money...you buy whatever you want.  You are literally throwing away $300.  Are you gonna use your 4770K in another build?

i never said i had a 4770k i have a 4770 and yes im giving my pc to someone so i will need another pc so 4790k it is
