hard Drive corrupt?

I am trying to access my cousins hard drive and it refuses to let me right click it.

Whenever I try to right click it, it freezes explorer.

It was originally plugged in to an enclosure but I plugged it directly in to my motherboard.

P.S could this be because my cousin left on all the time?
