After two weeks and the product hasn't reached me yet, I decided to look into it. They canceled my order for the Source 210 because it is out of stoke/was out and is out of stock again now so. :(  They offered to have it  "back ordered" but I opt out of that as there is no date when they will have more, or if, and my brother needs a case yesterday. I did find the Source 210 with the window panel for a few bucks more, but the specs are a bit different. Is this the same product just with a window?

 

*side question; brother wants to put the best fans into his system for cooling. He does not care about loudness, just performance. I suggested these Noctua fans or Cooler Master fans  for much cheaper. Do you guys have anything better to suggest? I think his budget is 30$ a fan.

He will OC at a much later date, when his hardware begins to show its age. Although he wants a cooler now so that his computer stays as cold as possible so I have yo consider that as well.

The windowed Source 210 is exactly what it sounds like--a Source 210 with a windowed side panel.

I wouldn't recommend getting super loud fans just for performance if it isn't needed but instead getting as quiet as possible fans while sufficiently cooling the system. 

Why such expensive fans while skimping on the case?

I just need to get a case for my brother's computer now. Was wondering what you guys think of the NZXT Source 210. This one:

The Source 210 is a great value case and a breeze to build in. It lacks the bells and whistles you get with more expensive and more updated cases like dust filters though. 

 

Another suggestion:

Fractal design core 1000 (it has USB3 front ports and is from a reputable brand too)

The core 1000 is an matx case and won't fit the motherboard.

I have the source 210, and it is a great case. The cable management is super easy, and there is a lot of room

Keep in mind that source 210 will have some problems with tall cpu coolers

 

I forgot about that...

 

May I ask for suggestions for an alternative to the stock cooler or a cooler that will fit?

I know that the hyper 212 evo will fit, barelly. I would pick the 200r or something like that. But if you're not ocing then you dont need a third party cooler. I personally was also looking for a cheap case, took a look at the 210 and 200r etc. then got the enthoo pro for the window, cooling, roomy interior, build qality and dust filters

Thanks! The specs page was different than the original one so I was a bit confused. :P

 

The fans will be purchased at a later date. He wants to know which to get before hand, I guess, because it gets insanely hot here and our PCs practically cook in the temps. He thinks loudness = performance. Personally I told him the Cooler Master Value pack would do just fine. And he's getting those fans, I'm getting him the case. :)

I think he's worried because there is only one fan in the case but I will tell him that for sure. Could spend that 30$ on a cooler for his CPU instead or save it. :lol:

In that case, why not combine funds and get a s340 instead; moving the top fan to the front for intake?

Yea, the GPU came after the thread. I should have edited the OP before I bumped the thread, sorry about that. :blush:

 

His funds will come much later, and he currently doesn't have a case to use his new mobo and CPU in so a case is real important at the moment. However, I will run this by him today and see if he agrees to wait a bit longer to get a better case.

That would be optimal. If not, A Source 210 with its stock fan should still be fine for a 4690k and 750 Ti provided the system isn't oc'ed.

Alright then, thanks! I  will ask him about the money and case. If he doesn't want to, we'll get the Source 210 and he can add a  fan later when he OCs it.

 

I'll be sure to update the thread with his answer by the end of the day and marked the post as solved if he chooses to go with the Source 210. :)

Nope, he wants to go with the Source 210 and buy one small fan and then save the rest of the money for later. I will mark the post as solved. Thanks for help guys, now he has a "complete" system! :)
