Is there someway I can make my media pc a NAS/Cloud Access storage system so I could watch my movies on my phone? I've been searching the web and nothing meets my expectations like being free. I want something like tonido.com but I have to pay for it. Should I just go for a NAS?

can't you just enable file sharing on the media pc and then look for devices in the network on the phone?

Tonido is free isn't it? He wants to access files whilst out and about, if I understand him correctly, Linus does something similar to this... Can't remember what with though. He mentions it in his windows phone videos and when unboxing a projector..

It is free for 2GBs but I'll look for that video i think it was a BenQ projector. Thanks

yeah but that is when i am connected to the network, im looking for something that lets me access them where ever.

Is emit reasonably secure? Does it encrypt and decrypt data locally and what protocol does it send things over?
