replace cherry stabilizers with costar stabilizers?

Hi, so I wanted to mod my stabilizers on my quickfire TK recently and could'n get them back together afterwards.

Can I just replace the cherry ones with costar ones from WASDkeyboards or do they require a different cutout in the metal plate?(http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/products/keyboard-parts-1.html)

Also, how would I go about removing the stabilizer bars from the cherry ones from the board? they are between the pcb and plate, so I can't really think of a way to remove it other than desoldering every switch which I don't want to do.

Cherrys and Costar unfortunately need different cutouts for the stabilizers.

So it does not work that easy, you would have to modify the plate.

 

Normally it is enough to desolder only the stabilized switch to be able to remove the stabilizer wire.
