Google play installed music onto internal storage even when the primary storage location is SD card

so i have the primary install location IN the google play music app set to external SD card. But i just bought and installed some songs. BUT IT WENT AND STORED ON MY PHONE, WHY?!? also i have dont the "transfer media to SD card", but its still taking up space on the phone...

Try uncaching music. Closing the app so it isn't in memory. Reopening and redownloading music (having checked the settings are for it to go to SD).

Also check your phone has access to the external SD (try moving a random file in there from the internal).

That fails, try clearing data and cache for Play Music through settings and try again.

 

Also should check on your device itself. Could be a model issue.
