I recently sold off my old CPU and motherboard, and I was planning on putting that 8 gigs of RAM into my new system along with my current 8 gigs. My current kit is Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 and the old one was G.Skill DDR3 1600.

When I put 2 kits together, however, the system will not even boot into the bios. Each of the kits individually work fine in the system. They just don't work together.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ram configurations not in preconfigured kits aren't guaranteed to work.

You should have no issues running them at 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 2T at 1.5V.

You may need to start raising voltage to the IMC to get it to run with 4 sticks. You can also try manually setting the bios for ram speed, voltage, and timings and see if they will work that way as they might vary somewhere in their XMP profiles.

If it was me I would test each set and see which one will run faster with the lowest CL.

Reset CMOS then plug in all the RAM. Should reset the DIMM's to JEDEC and then you can go from there with matching timings/speed.
