Is this the best laptop under 300?

IAmAndre

Hi,

I'm looking for a cheap but stylish laptop that I can easily move with. I already have gaming desktop, but I would like to be able to play light games such as Rayman, Street Fighter or Sonic, and some old games like Splinter Cell Double Agent. I want something thin that has a solid autonomy.

I found the Acer Aspire ES1-512-C4FR which has the following specs:

- Intel Celeron N2940 (Quad-Core 1.83 GHz - Cache 2 Mo)

- 4 Gb of RAM

- 500 Gb of storage at 5400 rpm (that I'm planning to replace with a faster drive later)

- 15.6 " display at 1366x768

- 7 hours of battery life (I've seen in a customer review that it can last up to 11 hours in flight mode)

- 26.1 mm thick and weighting 2.4 kg.

So what do you guys think? For €280, is this the best choice, and do you think that I will be able to play the games above and compile big programs as I'm a programer?

Thanks

Because it's Acer the build quality probably isn't that good (owned 4) and is made very cheaply. I would look for an Asus for around 300$ over anything. This is just my opinion though.
