Hi all,

As the title suggests, I'd really appreciate some help fixing the networking issue I have at home.

My current setup at home is a modem router at one side of the house, with a wireless router on the other side connected via EOP adapters.

An issue with this here is that I now have 2 networks, which makes file sharing between networks rather difficult.

I'd like to change it so that all the devices in my household are all in the one network, with good WiFi reception everywhere for movie/game streaming for multiple devices at the same time.

Using only the modem/router, I get an intermittent connection that is slow and unreliable on the other side of the house, which is one of the reasons why the EOP and extra router are now in use.

The 'extra' router is getting old (8 years?) and I think that may be part of the issue.

Happy to purchase equipment to make it possible, all suggestions welcome!

Cheers

Yes it is. That is the reason access points exist.

Thanks for the quick replies, would you happen to have any instructions or advice on how to make it work?

My experience with networking is rather limited so I apologise if these are stupid questions.

that is a possibility but i think its also posible to set the access points to wds mode and then i think they actually work together and as soon as access point 2 has a stronger signal then access point 1 it switches over to that one  but that is a setting you should be able to find in the web interface of your access point
