I noticed the ram stick wasn't all the way down, and pushed the stick back into place, we just tried rebuilding it but no luck.

damn, idk man you might have to test the parts and see what ones isnt working. But right now i would say it could be the MOBO or the PSU.

Are all the cables in in the right way. When I first built my pc I had the same problem I'd bridge the connection with a screw drive and nothing happened it turned it I count the CPU power connected on the wrong way so check that it's on the right way

Just to state the obvious,
It is most likely a PSU or MOBO issue. Depending on how careful you were when you switched cases to protect your board from static discharge, you could have shocked your motherboard.

Try replacing PSU first... it is almost always a cheaper alternative than trying to use a new motherboard. If you buy a whole new PSU and it ends up being the motherboard, you can sell your new or old one here, right on the Linus Tech Tips classified area of the site.

Long time Linus fan with too many different forums to keep track of LTT's.
