Purpose: For Gaming (Blade and Soul Mid-High Setting, etc..)

Source for Buying the Items: http://pcx.com.ph/

Currency: 1 US Dollar = 45 Philippine Peso

Budget: Php 12,000 - 15,000

I've been using this PC for almost 6yrs and still working. I can still play low-mid setting. And I decided to slowly upgrade the parts of my PC since I don't have enough budget to buy a whole new PC. In games like Leagues of Legends (38-40Fps normal, OC 45-50Fps)

My Old PC Specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte G31M-ES2C
Storage(OS): Barracuda Seagate 80GB
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 430

Here's my plan:
First Plan:
I will replace my CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 (Later, will upgrade it for an i5 or i7)
and Mobo: Asus Z97-A or Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 3 which is better between the two?
at the same time RAM: Don't know which brand should I buy, I just need 4GB DDR3 ???Mhz

Second Plan:
Just buy a new Video Card: GTX750 or R7 260X (Budget: Php 5,000~7,000)
And wait for another 1-2years for X99 Mobo & DDR4 RAM become really established in the market.

Third Plan:
Just overclock my GT430 and be patient in low-mid settings since I only playing League of Legends and other mid range RPG.

Please help me decide..Really in tight budget.

G3258 is a great little chip. I had mine OC'd to 4.6 and it powered through stuff. Assassins Creed 4 gave it issues because of the lack of cores and pegged it at 100% all the time. You can't go wrong with Asus Mobo's either. I've always liked Corsair Vengeance Ram. 8gbs would be a good all around amount for ram so you don't run out on more modern games.

"I'd say welcome friend, but not here...not like this."

I suggest you upgrading your CPU and motherboard first. The Pentium G3258 is a pretty good chip, I recommend sticking with it. And for the motherboard, go with the Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 3, it is slightly cheaper and basically the same. For the RAM, go with any 2x4GB (or 1x8GB if you want to save some bucks) kit, 1333Mhz min. from a reputable brand like Kingston, Ripjaws, Corsair, etc.

Definitely don't upgrade your GPU because your CPU will massively bottleneck it

Most will say that anything over 1333 is fine for just gaming. Timings should be fine.

You're right, Gigabyte is also durable base on my experience for almost 6 years. It is still in good condition. Now I need someone how can really differentiate between the two.

Back in my head, I want Asus because of some good reviews and its popularity. While the other side of my mind, its telling me to buy Gigabyte because of my good experience in using it.

And Sir, Thanks for your reply. I decided to upgrade first my CPU, Motherboard and RAM. And Later, Upgrade my CPU to an i5 or i7 if I already have extra money.

But there is one thing that hinders me to upgrade it now.

It is the X99 and DDR4, I can't really decide because of this existing new technology.

Because I'm thinking that I'm buying an older technology. And maybe after 1-2 years DDR4 is already in the mainstream while DDR3 is nearing to be phaseout.

Don't worry about that, surely they will go mainstream in a while, but for now you should upgrade. We can't really futureproof, just stick with what gives the most performace right now, and obviously what fits your budget
