Hey guys I am curious what is the extra 4 pin connection on the HyperX 3k. I know two are the sata data and power connections but what is the other one?

On some SATA drives you can put a jumper there to limit the controller to SATA II or SATA I to solve compatibility issues with much older boards. However in 99% of cases it goes unused so don't worry about them.

I'll admit I was also confused by those but never cared to look into it. you really learn something new every day.
