Do you know how to write cursive?

Snickerzz

My teachers were trying hard to get us to write in cursive in 3rd grade, but the next year nobody cared. I can still read it and write it (my cursive writing looks like crap though), but I doubt that I will be able to read it in 5 years. I'm 14 btw.

I can write curse words all day long, but writing in cursive letters turns into printing with tails connecting the letters.

i can but it makes me look like a doctor

I loled, Ive never meet a doctor that can write legibly.

I suppose I can write cursive...But I thought I was just being lazy.

Edit:

I was taught how to write cursive at primary school..So like age 4-5-6. Because of not many people being able to read crazy writing I pretty much stopped writing like it though so that I didnt have to explain things ive already written down.

I can write in the fugly cursive they teach in Finnish schools these days. I'm not that old so I didn't get to learn the one that actually looks good

I was forced to learn in 2nd grade, but I don't use it.

I don't like cursive, it's just an inconvenience to read now.

+1 for fountain pens! :)

From grade 2 (started to learn cursive) to 5 (end of primary school) we mostly had to

write with fountain pens, and ball pens were an absolute no-no (ruins the development

of proper hand writing).

I bought myself a Parker Premier Black Edition about two years ago, it's bloody

marvelous to write with. It's like the writing just flows out of the pen while

the nib is effortlessly gliding over the paper (seriously, it really feels like

the nib is hovering or some other sort of magic, it's really that awesome).

PS: Congrats on having a cursive which is still easily legible (at least to me).

My godfather, nice guy though he is, has handwriting which requires some very

serious effort to read, and I can usually only decipher it with context (meaning

if he just wrote down some random words I would be without a chance).

It's quite common in Australia if you're an late 80's kid.

I noticed it fading when i reached high school although.

Yeah, I noticed no attention was paid to hand writing then.

Cause I'm fancy I still use a fountain pen but don't write cursively as much..

I have pretty awesome handwriting from what I remember

but the only time I write anything is filling out forms for things that are needed RIGHT THEN

like hospital things and st00f

other then that I type everything out and print or fax it lol

I answered yes tho, I know how to :P I assumed this was the norm.

I actually write in all cursive for all my notes and such. It's not very neat but it's much faster.

I'm the only one who does it where I go to school though haha.

Also, yay for fountain pen users! I love fountain pens.

I can, but it makes me look like I am 4 years old!  :D My cursive does not look very good. It was standard for me to learn it until grade 6. So I have not done it in a long time.
