Display Drivers Stop working at random intervals

Hi,

I have a problem at the moment where my system will randomly shut off because off a display driver problem. I had to force shut down my computer after I left it running for a hour with the displays not detecting a input while I was downloading a nvidia driver update. Would there be a way on a msi z87 gd65 motherboard to boot on integrated graphics and install the drivers while the displays are running on the integrated rather than graphics card?

Thanks

Here are my system specs

I7 4770k

Msi z87 gd65 gaming

Msi gtx 770

8gb gskill memory

Corsair RM750 power supply

Windows 8.1 64bit

If the driver crashes, it's probably a bad sign. Probably unstable graphics card (memory or gpu clocked too high)

You can run from the iGPU while the card is present tho.

Go into the bios and search for an intel multi-monitor option or something like that and enable it. This will make the iGPU work even with a graphics card present :)

You will need to connect your monitor to the motherboard to let it work properly. Just a thing you need to keep in mind.

Of course, the graphics card is active and it works like usual. Exept it doesn't put out any display, but it works just fine and programs can access it and stuff like that.
