1000$ Buget Build Help

Trizor3

First of all sorry for my bad English.

So... Following the BPTR it will be something like this:

Im looking to build a new PC because my ~10 years old won`t survive too much.My budget it`s around 1000 $ USD if my father won`t help.Location:Romania

The parts that i`m looking for the new PC:

CPU:________FX-8350_______________________________209$

MOBO:______Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5____________________176$

GPU:________Asus Radeon R9 270X 2GB DirectCU II OC____226$

Memory:_____Kingston Predator Series 8GB 2x4___________110$

Case:_______Corsair Graphite 230T Orange______________93$

CPU Cool:____H100i_________________________________143$
DVD-R:______Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS______________20$

PSU:________Corsair CX750W________________________104$

Total: 1081$

In the future i think i will add:

SSD: Samsung MZ-7PD128BW

CaseCool: Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition (2-Pack) x2

HDD: WD Caviar Black 1Tb, WD1003FZEX

Aim:...err...dunno, Gaming most of the time ,and MAYBE editing and streaming,NO O.C. until i have no warranty left.

50% RPG/MMORPG

40% Car Racing

10% FPS

Monitor.. i have a 720p Samsung SyncMaster206BW(60MHz)

I think i`m gonna go with a triple 1080p setup or one Asus VG248QE in the future if the PC can support that much resolution(NOT the lastest games i think)

I`m upgrading from:
CPU: AMD Athlon 64X2 dualcore 5000+ 2,6GHz

MOBO: Gigabyte M61PME-S2

GPU: HD 4670 (Stock)

Memory: 4GB something 2x2 DDR2

Case:...Something

PSU: NJOY 500W or 550W not sure

HDD:WDC WD10 EZRX.... 1Tb and wdc wd64 00aaks... 600Gb

Any recommendation at what should a change or anything?

Never do 700+ watt psu for a single graphics card. Maximum 650 watt, but 550-600 is enough for most builds.

I also think you should look at corsair carbide 200r or 300r for case options.

These are great budget case builds and 300r can do water cooling and stuff. I am not as sure on 200r but for my 212 evo (air cooling) it's been working great.

Edit: I almost forgot to tell you ..

The 8320 and 8350 is the exactly same processor except that 8350 is a slightly overclocked 8320.

Exactly like fx 6300 and fx 6350.

This would be somewhat my idea of what to get, if I were you.

With this setup, you do not need a liquid cooling system right here and now, however you can get ones that cost roughly 50$ if you really want it.

Further more, i'd suggest if you want to not go much higher than 1000$ right here and now, to re-use your current HDD.

Do they ship to Romania?

How much is it with shipping?

Why get an i7 for gaming and "maybe editing and streaming", an i5 should be fine with that too. Right?

With an i5 he should be able to fit in some cooling there and stuff.

Leaving some extra money over will pay for the shipping (if they ship to Romania) too.

I honestly dont know, but you should probably find the products near your self, as it usually costs abit more when importing (depending on your countries toll laws).

Germany is the closest to romania on pcpartpicker, i think. 850 euros is ~$1000 US

you could probably use your old hard drive in the new rig too.

850 euros is 1024,74 dollars. Good guess.

(Don't know if it has an American/English version but I think Google Chrome can translate it if necessary.)

I retain and periodically check knowledge for use at a later date, you never know when it could be useful to do a rough currency exchange in your head.

Got to agree with @Mentalguy, seems like the better choice, but overall try and see if you can't find something ''local'' instead, of buying overseas.

1. Perhaps the site I was using only uses 2 decimals or something. Interesting.

2. Oh, then it's like pricerunner. (I am not sure if it is known internationally but it's a good alternative for Swedes compared to pcpartpicker. But I use another site.)

Woo :o so much people in so little time :D

Dunno about the shipping..(I don`t trust them so much)

let me verify the pricing for each.

Do you think the i5 will be enough for... a lot of multi tasking?

it`s ok to have just one stick of Memory?

BitFenix Comrade has ventilation spaces?

500W for an R9 290x enough????

and dunno about the Mobo(no info there but from "what i heard the MSI its pritty bad with tems" and the 990 chips are better for 8350 ,yea i know about the rest of FX with their Clocks but.. why not to try a little better)

What do you consider is " a lot of multi tasking?"

The i5 should be able most/all you throw at it. Since it has hyper threading and stuff.

For overclocking I would rather go with 550-600w but for non oc, I guess so.

i5 does not have hyperthreading, but it should be enough.

while a bigger psu would be better, as long as you are not maxing out the cpu and gpu at the same time it should be enough.

I am pretty sure it will be able to handle that but not sure, apparently they do not have hyper threading ..

Edit: Me and my Brother's fx 6300 handles that so I guess an i5 would also be able to handle it.

If they do not have hyper threading then, wow.

Is 4 cores enough for multi tasking stuff?

How much is not enough for an i5?
