Does steam first time setup require internet?

I'm gonna be in the car for way too long (20+hours) tomorrow so I downloaded a bunch of games on my laptop to pass the time.

Obviously I won't have internet in the car, so my question is, do the installed games require internet for first time setup?

Often they need to install something for the first time setup, so yes. I think most, if not all, steam games need internet for the first time.

no you dont need internet, unless you dont have the main requirements for ex: dx 11 drivers

i downloaded 40 + 3 days before july, i wasnt going to have internet for 3 months, all of my games did the first time setup without internet!

Depends on the type of game, if they are small indie games, than the case is usually no. Most of the big guy games do come with drivers in case you dont have it installed, its a requirement to play the game and if you dont have it, it will use the internet to download them.
