I've really been eyeballing the 900D for a watercooling build, but I'm just not sure. I have a HAF X right now, but the watercooling options + aesthetics afterwards just aren't making me warm and fuzzy.

I'd really really like to do something like a 2x 480mm radiator setup, and the haf x just won't cut it. ( I know I can externally mount them but that's hideous)

Does anyone here have a 900D? I've been really considering this but I don't know if it's worth all the effort.

Pros and Cons:

HAF X:

Pros: Already own it, everythings already setup.

Very nice design, looks nice, great airflow.

Cons:

I can only fit a 360mm Rad, and MAYBE 2 240mm's if I really squeeze things in, but then things will be overly cluttered and a mess to maintain, etc. Also the radiators can't be very thick, I think much more than 45-60MM at the max and they won't fit.

Fan filters are an absolute pain to clean, the top +front have plastic "holder-ins" that are held in place by like 8 metal tabs bent onto it to keep it secure, to take them out each metal tab has to be bent straight, and then plastic "holder-ins" have to be pulled off.

900D:

Pros:

Finished product looks great, even with 2 480mm radiators, there is still plenty of cable routing, and room for TONS more upgrades later on.

From what I've seen the fan filters are either magnetic, or you just push on them and they come off.

Tons more options to "mod" things in, due to more space + and what seems like "less plastic"

More space to make things look less cluttered

Cons:

Unsure because I don't own one.

PLEASE feel free to input on this part ^^^^^  so I can make an actual educated decision.

If I've missed anything or you own a 900D, please feel free to add feedback and let me know what you think.

would like to get some opinion on this too. I really dislike the HAF X's aesthetics. but the 900D is pricey :/ is it worth the money?

what kinda hardware do you have that needs dual 480 radiators?

airdeano

dual 780's and a 3930k, I'm probably going to shoot for a crazy overclock, and I know a 480+360 or even 360+240 would probably do it, I just like the look of having 2 massive 480's lol
