Right now I have a TN panel monitor that runs at 60 hz.

My Question is if I was to upgrade to an IPS panel would I see any more motion blur than i already have.

Reason being is that Linus in some of his monitor unboxings he says that IPS will have more motion blur than TN or is this because TN can run at 120 hz.

From what ive been told, 60hz no matter what panel will have the same motion blur but i could be wrong.

It depends on the monitor your have now and the monitor you plan on buying. not all IPS monitors have allot of motion blur and not all TN monitors are really fast. I can't remember what monitor it was but I saw one that was TN and it had a real high response time and lots of motion blur and I was like JUST BUY A IPS THEN! but as long as you buy a fairly good monitor and make sure the specs are the same or better than your current monitor then you shoudl be fine.

when i used a crt monitor everything was soo smooth but the panels of nowadays are quite good ... but just not the same (it's like i can spidey sense that the display is not as smooth... however that was directly switching from crt )

(1) high frame rate (2) ultra graphics settings (3) cheap...>> choose only two<<...

if it's never been done then i'm probably tryna do it. (((((((Bass so low it HERTZ)))))))

IPS and TN panels have the same amount of motion blur at 60Hz. TN panels have faster pixel response times and because of that they can run at up to 144 Hz which reduces motion blur. But as your current monitor has a TN panel and runs at 60 Hz, you will see 0 change in terms of motion blur after upgrading to a tn panel.

Just an idea to throw at you:

I have one of those cheap korean ips panels overclocked to 110Hz. I dont know how much you plan to spend on a new monitor, but this one would combine the benefits of IPS and TN, but at a really high cost of about 900$.
