Bootable USB Drive

Hi, I am ordering parts for a new pc. When I was watching a linus video I had the sudden realization that I am not purchasing a optical drive but I am purchasing a windows disc. I don't want to buy an optical drive so how do I create a bootalbe usb drive. I have a computer that has a optical drive so I'm not sure if I am supposed to put the windows disc in there then put it on a usb drive. Someone help, I need specifics on what I need and how to do it. Thanks

If you already have a disc, you would need to bury for an optical drive, you can use your laptop or an old PC. For my PC, to create a bootable USB I used Rufus. You would just need to put in the ISO image and Rufus does everything for you. You can get ISO images from basically anywhere. I got mine where I bought my Windows key here.
