Screen resolution problem

Go to solution Solved by Darkman,

The Catalyst Control Center should have a spot for overscan. Move that slider to 0%. It should remove that irritating boarder. :) I only don't remember where.

When my computer is running on HDMI I can not get the image to take up the full screen (pictures below). Everything that I can find has the resolution set to be 1080p.

Is it possible to make it full screen?

Thank you for any help,

why are you in the TV part of the control panel? I think above that there are settings for a pc monitor.

also, no new cable with the new monitor?

I didn't know there was a tv part of the control panel. where do i find the monitor part?

Its a new cable i just needed a longer one. i tested the cable with another computer and it works fine on 1080p

Have you tried going into the monitor settings (using the actualy physical buttons on the monitor) and tried changing imaging options there? Or tried resetting the monitor to factory default? It may be some strange setting within the actual monitor itself.

If that doesn't work, sometimes doing a fresh install of your GPU drivers will fix the issue. Other then that I can't really think of anything it could be!

Hope this helps,
