Any help will be appreciated.

A few days ago something happened to my computer, it was running fine, I was using to do whatever and there were no problems what so ever. I went to go watch a movie, came back and my computer was off, not booting up or anything, I took the panel on the side off to see what the problem was only to find that there didn't seem to be any power getting to it. So I went through and checked all the connections didn't notice anything wrong so I plugged everything back in and nothing.

At this time I knew something was wrong with the PSU but to make sure I took an old PSU from a spare computer and LEDs were lighting up so power was getting through that. I got a replacement PSU (different to the original) hooked it up and the computer only turned on for a second to then completely lose power. I went trough all connections unplugging and checking to make sure it was wired correctly, it was so I gave it power again and POP. It wasn't my PSU, motherboard or anything in that side of the computer, it was my HDD.... I don't know if its fried or not but I don't want to find out soon. I unplugged it and powered it up again I have an SSD that had windows on it so my comuter should still boot right? Nope, it doesn't seem to be recognizing that there is an SSD plugged in. The message its giving me is:

Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key_

I am able to get into BIOS but that is it.

Please help me, I haven't had a computer for days now and am starting to loose hope, I don't have the money to build another computer at the moment.

take the HDD out of its bay and turn it over till you see the PCB of the HDD.

look if there is any obvious damage done to the PCB
