So pretty much, I COMPLETELY Freeze upon login. I just installed windows 8.1 on a brand new SSD yesterday, and almost every single time I login, windows completely freezes, I can't do ANYTHING. It's really really REALLY annoying and I can't figure out for the life of me what's wrong. Please Help :c

Agh, that means reinstalling EVERYTHING, including 60GB of games I downloaded today.. Oh well. What needs to be done, needs to be done. I'll try this in the morning and keep you updated.

I'm assuming that by now you reinstalled Windows. If not, have you tried entering Safe Mode and see if it freezes then?

Never got a notification that you replied. It ended up being CoreTemp. CoreTemp was completely crashing my PC. Many people have had this problem with the newest revisions. Uninstalled CoreTemp and now everything works flawlessly.

Ok so I know you sorted this but for anyone else with a similar problem:

I had exactly the same issue last year, I had just installed an NVidia GPU and it was freezing after about 10 seconds on the desktop. Turns out it was bits of my AMD drivers left on the system from the previous GPU.
