Reviving unused PC

Hey guys, i was just wondering since i got my christmas money now

long story short here are the parts!

CPU: Core2 duo E7300

MB: G31m-S2L

PSU: 300W

HDD: 500GB

I plan to change the case to the R4 or R5 and put in a 750ti from EVGA.

What are your thoughts?

I'd salvage the HDD and maybe the PSU, but would build a new PC from scratch. A core duo won't get you anywhere.

Buy a cheaper case, no point spending lots on such a underpowered system.  Save up and buy a new system; some parts are salvageable.
