pwm fan help

building my new computer right now,

 

i have mother board  asus sabertooth mark 2 z97

 

and i was wondering are all 4 pin fan plug things pwm or only the one marked cpu fan.

 

 

i have a noctua nh d15 and wondering which fan holes to plug the fans in

use the one marked CPU_FAN

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Plug it into the CPU_fan header on the board.

Do you gave two cpu_fan headers? Look around your board.

i have two fans though, so do i need to use the splitter?

use the Y splitter

CPU_FAN   and CPU_OPT

Those are 2 cpu fan headers--use them.

You can get manual of all mobos online. Its nice place to check wheter fan headers support PWM. With Asus boards I'm pretty sure they do.
