okay so ive been having problems with my yoga 2 pro lately and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

 

Problem: screen does not auto rotate when I change modes (for example tablet mode, tent mode, etc.)

 

I've checked to see if the lock was on and it not so it should be rotating. I went into the control panel and so far all the settings indicate the the auto rotate should be fully functional. i was thinking that since the keyboard turns off but the screen does not rotate then it probably isn't the sensor but i could be wrong. i have checked the drivers and so far nothing has shown up that there is an error with any drivers. my last idea is to factory reset everything but i have so many programs that i reaaaaaallly do not want to reinstall again but i wil if i have to. any ideas would  be great.

It sound to me like a software related problem, i think. Hopefully I got this right. Try installing the original motion control software and it should fix the problem.

I assume the motion control is for the screen auto rotation.

Ive had mine do it once or twice after leaving it in odd positions all ive done in the past is turn it off with the power button and once it restarts it fixes it hope this helps

i didnt think that would work but i gave it a try anyways and its still a no go. the keyboard turns off but the screen still doesnt want to rotate
