I'm doing a post test and my system won't post (there is no signal on the monitor) everything runs all the fans etc however their is one red led light for the CPU that permanently stays lit until the system is switched off. I have my motherboard on its case with the ram, CPU, CPU cooler and PSU (I am using onboard graphics, I have tried both graphics card and onboard both produce no signal)

I was told the motherboard drivers don't meet the drivers for the CPU and that I should update my motherboard drivers but how can I do that if I just get the no signal screen?

My specs are:

Motherboard: ASUS SaberTooth z87

CPU: i5 4690k

CPU Cooler: H100i (using stock at the moment)

PSU: EVGA 750w gold (supernova)

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970

I doubt it's your motherboard drivers. Drivers only run in the OS. What kind of memory do you have and how much of it?

Dosnt that require you to be able to get into the bios? As I cant.

No. It's on the motherboard.

I will look at the button in the manual thoroughly and try it out.. I will update afterwards

It should be found next to the DIMM slots on the right hand side.

Here you go

iu4WrpYfF2Avc8fJ_1000.jpgIn the manual it says to hold the button until the dimm led starts flashing. I held mine but the light never light... I still just have the red CPU led showing and the green power led.. Still no signal. I don't think its the ram that's the problem. I looked at the CPU also and ther is no bent pins on either the CPU OR MOBO.

Turn off your PC and try again.
