Expensive soundcard...

So I love my ASUS Xonar DGS soundcard. Has a good amp, virtual surround sound and DD, as well as other features. But it has a problem where it causes any PC it's in to boot when power is received. It's a pain and I cant fix it. Didn't realize it was the card so I never replaced it. After i got my logitech usb headset, I didn't have a need for it so it has been sitting. But now I have a pair of monoprice headphones and a decent mic that sucks with on board audio, so I need the card.

I would be willing to get this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-xonar-7-1-channel-pci-express-sound-card-internal/2963455.p?id=1218690824418&skuId=2963455&pid=1218690824418

Expensive, but I have mutiple gift cards to bring it down to around 50 dollars. Any other suggestions for something from bestbuy?

It's likely that is the combination of the Asus card and your mobo that's doing that and that Asus card is very similar so it might do the same thing. Try a syba dac/amp.

So like this? http://www.amazon.com/Syba-Stereo-Headphone-Amplifier-SD-DAC63057/dp/B009WN7QT4# it just plugs in USB and acts as a sound card and mic input?

Yes, but keep in mind, most DACs like only support 2 channels. If you're using headphones, you'd only need 2 channels anyway. Multiple channels are only useful in surround speaker systems.
