AC:Unity crash patch 1.4 [Solution]

Go to solution Solved by AnthonyPaull,

EDIT: After hours of scouring the internet and consulting with one of the useless tech support members from EA, I decided to run a file integrity check on the game. After a while it prompted me to do a 48MB download, and the game launched and ran just fine after that.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Open Uplay and select the ACU page.

2.Next to the "Play" button there is a small arrow, click it.

3.Look for "Verify files" in the drop down menu, and click on it. It will scan for a few minutes then prompt you to download a few megabytes.

If you know of any other solutions feel free to post them.

So I just downloaded patch 1.4, it took me 49 hours at about 50KB/s, and now my game crashes after selecting "continue" on the menu.

I tried searching for a solution, but all I could find was other people complaining about the same problem, and when I googled it it just came up with a bunch of articles saying "Patch 1.04 will alleviate most of the remaining bugs".

If anyone has a solution please share it, I really want to play this game because despite how shitty Ubi is getting, I still enjoy their games. (Also this cost me $90AUD).

Running an Intel CPU and AMD GPU, my rig is in my sig.
