Hey, i stay at a dorm, but go back home during fridays and weekends, so i bought a Lenovo Y50. And i was wondering how could build a eGPU such as the Alienware Amplifer. Also does the Amplifier work with any laptops? or is it only  Alienware 13?

The Amplifier only works with Alienware's own PCs. It uses a proprietary connector.

Easiest is to start at DIY eGPU Implementations Hub: TB, EC, mPCIe  (Tech|Inferno). There may be an existing example of an eGPU implementation with your notebook.
