msi afterburner trouble

SevereDevil

ive been using msi afterburner because i noticed my fan was really quiet while playing crysis 3 and my gpu temp was 90C and the game was noticeably being throttled. so i downloaded it and set the fans the way i like and the fan stayed 50% while 65C and seemed to be perfect no throttling and games good. when i quit crysis i watched the auto fan adjust slowly go down to make sure it worked and then bamm. my pc crashed. now every time i open msi afterburner my pc crashes. ive uninstalled. rebooted and re-installed. twice. deleted all data(didn't save profile during delete) and i cant seem to get it to work. it was working for about 2 hrs before i quit crysis.

my specs, 290x, i5 4690k, msi guard pro mobo

msi afterburner 4.0.0 and 4.1.0 was tried.

Ultra at 1080p, that's all that matters.

Try Asus GPU Tweak instead. MSI Afterburner makes me crash about 50% of the time.

The new update for MSI Afterburner is not really stable. Are you using windows 8.1? Are your fans even spinning on your graphics card??? Is it overly dusty?
