Computer won't wake from sleep

I had been using my PC fine for months and I had always been able to wake my computer from sleep by hitting a key on the keyboard or by moving my mouse, but after installing a new ssd and hdd and a new r9 290, when I try to wake the computer the fans and leds turn on but nothing is displayed on the screen. What could be causing this issue? Any feedback is appreciated.

Reinstall the drivers and chkdsk.
