UPDATE : NOW THE 2500$ BUILD, I GUESS.

Here is my current build : http://de.pcpartpicker.com/user/dehixem/saved/QkVbt6

What dual 970's should I get ? Are the ASUS Strix the best for making the least noise ? Or can I shave off a few bucks and get other 970s that would be just as silent as the STRIX ?

Will this build handle a bit of CPU overclocking regarding the cooling ? (Corsair H110 94.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler)

Cheers !!

OLD POST :

Hey guys !

I'm planning on buying my new PC in january, real exciting stuff for me !

Here is my build so far :

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/nwn9XL

(i7-5820K, GTX970, 16GB DDR4 RAM)

I will be using the PC for Video editing (1080 and 4K), compositing (after effects, photoshop) and some 3D.

As of now, the build would be $1500. Bear in mind I can (and will) go up to 2000$ :)

Bear also in mind I've already got a spare 2TB hard drive and 256Go SSD.

What arrangements / additions in the build would you make, component wise ?

Personnal thoughts :

- Should I get a second SSD for a RAID0 setup ?

- Single 980 or dual 970 ?

- More RAM (would be nice but I could stay limited to 16 atm regarding my other suggestions) ?

The more silent the station is, the happier I'd be !

Thanks for your time and input :)

EDIT: OH BTW I have no clue what fan cooling setup to use in the Fractal design R5 case, any input ?

Seems like a very powerful build indeed, I may consider it, but as of now i'd prefer switching to new motherboard sockets for the newest CPUS / RAM so I can *at least* future proof the costly motherboard. Does that seem reasonable ?

Cheers
