What free anti-virus and anti-malware programs should I use?

Hey,

AVG is a pretty good Anti Virus and there is a free version of it. Use malwarebytes for anti malware :)

AVG - http://free.avg.com/gb-en/homepage

Malwarebytes - https://www.malwarebytes.org/

Just looking for a program that work well and is free, 2 programs if there isn't one that handles virus and malware but one program if possible.

I run my browser through NSA ports to make their illegal jobs easier. :P
If it's not broken, take it apart and fix it.

Interesting, never had one bit of problems with Avast! before, at least not to the point of it crashing my computer.  Guess there's always gonna be some outliers though.
