I have been thinking of upgrading my computer for a while... but then I think that I don't really need to as its going to cost me a lot of money.

The intention of my computer is pretty much just gaming. I do game a lot, but only a few games i regularly play which are Dota2 and CSGO, they both don't have heavy graphics or anything... so that's also what makes me uncertain. I am also thinking of changing my chassis from a HAF 922 to an ITX chassis like the 'Corsair: Obsidian 250D' for cleaner looks, and the better ability to clean off dust.

Anyways here's what I have in mind:

GPU:                  ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP/2DI/1GD5                ----->    GTX 970 (?)

CPU:                  AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 6-Core 2.8GHz
Mother Board:   M4A89GTD PRO/USB                                                 ----->     ??? (something compatible with CPU and Chassis?)

CPU Cooler:      Corsair H100i

Chassis:             Cooler Master HAF 922                                               ----->     Corsair Obsidian 250D

Budget: up to $600 if gtx 970 is really worth it for my purposes in the long run.

Please give me some suggestions!

Thank you very much :D and sorry for being a bit of a noob :P

i would say no, however it is definately worth it.

if you really dont need all that much of an upgrade and just want newer hardware you can grab soem of the AMD gpu's or from the 700 series. if all you're playing is csgo and dota2 than thos will definately be more than enough for a long time. (also cheaper than the 900 series. ;)

budget would also be helpful to know ovah heer.

What kind of budget would you be looking at for your upgrades? Would this be a complete rebuild or are you just looking to upgrade those specific parts?

up to $600 if 970 is worth it for my purposes, sorry just added that - and would just be upgrades. thanks

You'd probably be better off getting something like an R7 270 or 280 for your needs. Also I was unable to find a socket AM3 mini ITX board so I made some changes that would still be within your budget.

Here's a list of upgrades I put together: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GH4B7P

If anyone else has a suggestion that they feel would be better for this please feel free to add.

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Jakjakattack/saved/7rQhP6 Would reccomend this. Your also getting an ssd and a psu(which is probably needed) to boot. No need for an aftermarket cooler anyway, cause if its intel and your not overclocking then your good.
