Changing Cards

Go to solution Solved by Johannes_Lazor,

You wont have to reinstall windows, The only time you will have to do that is when you change the motherbooard or change more that one part at the time.

Geforce Experience will update the drivers for you.

So I'm getting the 970 in a few days and I'm just wondering a couple of things (though they may be obvious):

a - I don't need to worry about needing to reinstall Windows or anything annoying like that right?

b - I'm upgrading from the 650 ti boost (so still Nvidia) - will I need to install new drivers or will GeForce Experience handle all that for me?

Thanks in advance.

No, your Windows OS is fine, although, what I would do personally is uninstall the drivers, turn of your computer, swap the cards, turn the computer on and download the latest drivers.

both cards are using the same driver, so in theory it should be just plug and play
