This is old. Consume too much power, and performance is not even close to Nvidia or AMD offerings in the similar power consumption area.

Again, Intel doesn't have the knowledge to do GPUs. They try, I'll give you that, but man they suck.

Nvidia will be licensing Kepler architecture and future architecture of their GPUs... so maybe Intel (I doubt it) will buy the license and use it.

Well the way i see it is, there integrated graphics are half way decent for what they have to work with so there full time and chip and effort for graphics could be very powerful. expensive more than likely but they would probably be stable, ok overclockers, and very good quality.

They made a dedicated GPU back in 1998. It was basically to promote the AGP bus.

Have you heard that some Intel processors include a GPU (i5, i7, etc.)? I think they know a bit if not a whole lot about GPU's and will if not include a GPU like those cards I listed in the CPU socket if not have there own GPU cards in the near future (post Haswell or the 2nd Gen Haswell). Intel is not letting Nvidia/AMD be the only kids on the block with a powerful GPU, the Xeon Phi is just step one.

Its coming friends, maybe not tomorrow morning but its coming.

Intel graphic solution, are YEARS beyond Nvidia and AMD  its not even funny. And they continue to follow the software list, where the drivers are highly optimized (and not drawing effects) to show impressive FPS in popular games.. once you are outside of that list, your going to have a bad time.
