Hello lovely people I have a question about the unreleased Shadow Play. Just taking what people think should be talking about, I know nobody can be right, I think. o.0

Should you be able to record 3D gameplay and have people play it back on YouTube is they have a Nvidia 3D vision monitor and glasses? I know Shadow Play isn't out yet but in theory would it work?

Thanks!

i dont think so because the glasses sync with the monitor output and since the shadowplay would just be a video it couldnt sync correct.

with 3D it would have to record multiple angles rendered for the same scene,I don't think the h.264 encoder could keep up.at the very least it would decrease the number of minutes you could jump back in time and grab a recording from.

as of now you can do up to 20 min with 1080p 30fps,I think.if that's right then it would probably decrease it to around 3-8 min with 3D.

this would be mostly be due to the higher refresh rate requirements for 3D,and to record and playback 3D properly you'd need to record it in that same threshold.
