I"ll start by saying I know this topic has been covered a million times and yes I'm sure there's a tutorial somewhere out there that somewhat demonstrates what I'm looking for but I just haven't been able to find one. So basically I'm recently bought a 240GB HyperX SSD and I'm looking to migrate only the OS onto the drive, so what I wanted to know is could I unplug my current HDD and just plug in the SSD and then use the disc copy of windows 7 (legal) that I originally used to install the OS on the HDD or will that yield some distribution problems and stop me from completing the install? Alternatively what would be the best software to do a OS migration without cluttering the SDD with other applications and files and then what do I do with the copy of the system files on the HDD after the migration? Any feedback is appreciated!
