Hay guys,

im just looking for some comments on my future gaming build. I saved quiet long for this.I am from germany so i looked up the prices in €.

This is the build:

EVGA Nvidia GTX 780 + ACX-Cooler
i7 3770k boxed
Alpenföhn Brocken 2
MSI-Z77A-G45-Gaming-Series-Intel-Z77
Cooler-Master-HAF-912-Advanced-Window
Corsair Vengeance Black 8(2*4)Gb 1600Mhz cl9
Samsung 840 Pro series 2,5" 256 GB, SSD
750 Watt Seasonic X Series Modular 80+ Gold

My budget on this is about 1700 € (thats about 2.200 $)

Looks fine. Depending on where you buy from you could get it a little cheaper by taking another brand of ram that has the same performance for example.

You could go with a non-pro 840, but the 840 pro will last longer so I'd stay with that one.

Frost upon these cigarettes.... lipstick on the window pane...

Could save a lot by going with the i5-3570K.  Gaming performance is the same.  The power supply you listed was replaced by the X750, if you can get the updated one that would be idea.  You could go with the X650 as well, that will be plenty of wattage.

Could save a bit on the SSD, go with the Kingston V300 or ADATA XPG SX900, both are much cheaper.  It is very unlikely you will notice any difference between top performing SSDs so I wouldn't get too caught up in comparing numbers.

Vengeance RAM interferes with the mounting of a lot of popular air coolers so make sure you double check that or pick lower profile RAM.

I chose i7 3770k because of the hyperthreading, although it is giving me no perfomance boost today, but i heard very good things about this cpu, so i stick on it. Maybe the hyperthreading of it will be worth it in some years.

Because of the Ram i haven't checked this verywell, but on screenshots it seems like it fit. If not, i will send the ram back and pick low-profile ram.  Just like try and error ^^.

That's what all the first gen i7 adopters said too :P  Hyperthreading has been around since Pentium 4.  It is just not very helpful to games, it's just the nature of the technology not a matter waiting for optimizations.

Okay i didn't know that. But the performance boost (even if not in gaming) must exist, so i hope the choice is still good. But thanks for your help.

The only time you'd see is if you did content creation for a living, like hardcore video editing with multiple layers of HD, or CAD, 3D modelling, things like that.  If gaming is the most intensive thing you will do, then you will not notice the i5 vs i7 difference.

But i dont know which way my life will go. I hope to study informatic in a year and maybe i will need 3D rendering there. I like to go the safe way and wont miss the hyperthreading :). But your arguments are good and if i were sure to use the pc just for gaming, i would go with i5.
Are there any comments to the other pieces.?
And another question: i planned to put one of the two extra fans on the sidepanel (where the window is) and the other one as a pull on the cpu-cooler, because with this cooler there is just one fan. this i would like to use as a push fan, because of he is optimized for static pressure. the corsair fan, who should pull, is optimized on airflow. is that good for the heatsink as a pull-fan? or should i take a sp-fan of another brand?
