XFX cards work just fine. Good call on getting the cheapest version of the gpu.

I also googled for this question, much people are not happy with it. It is loud, lots of defects, ...

Try to get a Sapphire 7870 (if not allready bought)

Yeah I'd heard about the sound problems people had, but I was hoping these were in the minority. The sapphire card was next cheapest but from what I've seen the build quality doesn't look brilliant. I haven't bought yet. Building in a couple of weeks hopefully.

I bought a Sapphire 7870Ghz, and I am verry happy with it. Build quality is good - great.

It doesn't run to hot: 60°C with fans @50% overclocked stresstest, 50°C with fans @46% stock stresstest.

The XFX looks better, but the Sapphire one has better reviews...

Looks vs reliability :)

Proud to be from Belgium.

Cheers for the advice. In that case I'll go with the sapphire version :)
