It is better to go i5 4460 with h81m mobo rather than 6300 for gaming

I also got to say that I plan to overclock the 6300 a fair bit

i5 has way better single thread performance (aka better for gaming). the 6300 has a lower "cap" as compared to 4460 when it comes to bottlenecking too. Lesser heat and more power :)
