Make H220 pump run without PC

Hello,

 

I took my PC apart to add a new power supply and since it was all out i decide to cut the tube on my H220

 

Now i have missing fluid and i was going to remove all out and add distilled water.

I was told that to make sure the fluid level was correct i need to make the pump run, but how i do that without mounting the whole system?

 

Once is all mounted i cant have access to the top to add more fluid because its a small case (bitfenix prodigy)

You use a separate power supply, short a green and black cable, and connect your pump to it.

 

Oh and you need to use a biocide or killcoil if you are going to use distilled water.

But i need board for that no? Where i connect the 4-pin?

 

Didnt know about that. Maybe i go to the store and get proper fluid

in cases i do not have an operable PSU, using a 12v car battery works well. scavenged

an old fan molex harness, a couple of alligator clips and you have 12v power.
