Hi everyone!

Over the last few months I have been planning this computer build, it has gone though many changes thanks to you fine folks!

http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/user/195jd/saved/fQgqqs

Budget:

Not really and issue, I am happy with the price this ends up, but if you have any way to cut out some $$$ while keeping the sameish specs let me know!!!

Aim:

Real video editing and creative solutions (not just youtube ;) ) Gaming and normal use (web etc...)

Monitors:

I will be using 3 Asus PB287Q's for 4k, I know that these are not the most colour accurate, if this is an issue I will get a 4th PA 24" from asus

I will not be using any monitor arms as I plan to have a large desk.

os:

By the time I can by this rig, I'm about half way there hopefully windows 10 will be out and mostly bug free, if not 8.1 will have to do!

Last Thoughts:

Do you guys believe the rumors about the 980 ti's? From what I read it was supposed to come out some time this month but now its delayed for early 2016???

Do you guys have any case recomendations, I love the case its in but if you guys know something better let me know :)

Thanks Guys

Jayden

@JaydenThatcher, I highly doubt that there will be a 980 Ti. It's already the full GM204. Never base your purchases/plans on rumours. Especially when you're dealing with PC components. I would definitely get an IPS monitor with whatever monitor setup you'll be getting as you'll need that colour accuracy.

SLI ACX cards will cook in that case. These types of coolers are not for SLI. I know this because I'm currently dealing with two of them. (Classies) Change the PSU to something from EVGA or Seasonic. You'd be fine with even a good 750W PSU.

SimRacer - Casual FSX Pilot!

Spoiler

Mobo: MSI B550 Tomahawk | CPU: Ryzen R5 3600 | GPU: Vega 64 Sapphire Nitro | RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4 3200Mhz | PSU: EVGA P2 1000W 80Plus Platinum | Storage: 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD - 1TB WD Black - 2TB Seagate HDD | Cooling: Dark Rock Pro 3, Noiseblocker eLoop Fans | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe | Audio: Sennheiser HD598 - JBL LSR305s | Display: BenQ EX3501R, Asus VG278H

So would you say a NZXT H630 would be better? Is it the size of the case or the lack of ventilation?

Thanks

This is a far better psu SeaSonic X Series 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply.

Why both a 1TB Blue and 1TB Black?
Did you consider going with an X99 system?

I plan to use the 1TB blue for most files (games and other non-demanding stuff) and the 1TB black for screen cap, and mass video file storage after a wedding for example, I will also use this drive as a scratch disk until I get another SSD.

and as per X99, I do feel I may miss out but at this point I think it is too expensive for the benefits...

I believe that there will always be a new GPU (in this case the 980Ti) based on competition. AMD's 390X will most likely have a boost over the 980, so to stay in the game nVidia will have to release a faster one. I may be wrong but these are my views. Also, price drops will happen after AMD release their new 390 and 390X, so heads up on that.
