ok guys here is my setup

cpu :amd 245 @3.4
mb: asus m5a99fx pro r2
gpu 1: msi r9 290 gaming
gpu 2:nvidia 220

the  problem is that i dont have a monitor (using roughly a 10 year old monitor) that will work with the r9 290 and its too long to fit in the lower pcie slot, it may be a while till i can buy a monitor so i was trying to figure out if i could set the 220 to be the primary display out and use the 290 for folding. but when they are both installed i dont get any output from the 220 .

got any ideas maybe im blind but i cant find an option like that in the bios?

i already drilled out most of the hdd cages to get the 290 to fit in here case is butchered as it is =/

in theory you should be able to see the monitor in the windows screen resolution menu when its plugged in to the 290 but you need a seccond monitor to test. also you need to have both the 290 and the 220 drivers.

but why dont use then 290 as a primary card en the 220 for folding??????????????????
